(10-29-2011. I slowed down just a tiny bit, and found that there is probably a happy medium between correct proportions and totally blowing off proportions for linework. Will I do this all the time now? Maybe, maybe not. I'll keep working on practicing with my lines, to get more variation, I think, along with working on proportions...and not necessarily at the same time... as I seem to be continuously evolving. As Bats has always said... Practice Practice Practice.)

Eyes

(10-27-2011... I seem to draw a lot of people with brown or darker colored eyes. I was just thinking of this as I drew this young lady, who has the lightest blue eyes and longest lashes you'd ever see. And no. I'm not jealous. :-| )

(10-26-2011. Did I happen to mention that drawing peoples heads at an angle is hard? Well, maybe not for other people, but hard for me. Hard-ER. Probably because I'm trying to draw guidelines with my eyes to make sure that peoples don't end up looking like Sloth Fratelli *Goonies reference*) :-D

(10-25-2011. Rookie mistake. I was having a discussion with my friend Jean who asked if loving lines and making someone with correct proportions were mutually exclusive or if they could be merged. I won't post my full answer, since I can be long and rambling, but needless to say I tried to focus a bit more on proportions while I was having fun scribbling. And didn't do too bad, but for the top o' her head. Ran to the top, ended her hair a bit short, so her head looks a bit small up there. Live and learn, live and learn...) :-D

(10-22-2011. A few beers in...listing to the left...Another day of playing with the two different thickness of markers. You know what bugs me a bit?  I can never find really animated people on the train. They just kinda sit there... or sleep... not that I mind...good sketching practice, but not nearly as fun to look at after drawing...)

(10-21-2011. It was a pretty bumpy ride, but not too bad at all jostling back and forth. Since the library shut down at 5 so I couldn't get in to get a book, I opened up the sketchpad...which is what I should do EVERY DAY on the TRAIN...but I digress. I do believe even sitting at the coffee shop sketching, or just sketching has still helped. So yay!) :)

(10-20-2011. Two pens, and a bit of practice with my Kelb, who I have seen grow from diapers to a goatee.  A sweeter kid you'd never meet. Today I was playing with wrinkling and shadows with a bit more wild added in...)

 (09-28-2011. So the story goes, as you've seen I've not been posting, that apparently their robot thing thought that I had all the characteristics of a SPAMMER. So they shut me down. Well, until today. But I kept up with the sketches... and have been posting them in my art group. But now I'm back for your pleasure. Poor thing...)

10-05-2011. Ahhh..... all caught up. NOW. Today I used two different pens to try to add in some fun. Not too shabby, a bit fun. Okay, a lot fun. Maybe it was the tongue sticking out....)
